North Shire Lodge – About & Amenities

About North Shire

The North Shire Lodge, formerly the North Shire Motel, opened in February of 1966. Room rates were $12 and $14 for “single” and “double” rooms respectively. With sweeping views of the Battenkill Valley, the site was a popular destination for vacationers and travelers to the area. Dot and Al Chamberlin were the original owners. In 2009, the property was renamed the North Shire Lodge accentuating the rustic décor and outdoorsy vibe. Stacie and Brad are the property’s 4th owners.

Great family run B&B in VT. My husband and I came up for a ski weekend and North Shire Lodge was great! The room was clean, comfy, and had great Mountain View’s. The owners were super nice and friendly. They made hot breakfast for guests which was such a nice plus. We had a great weekend and will definitely be back! Alyson B – Google
