Delightful, friendly place to stay while in the area. The pub menu has something for everyone ( nacho plate is huge) and the bar has a wonderful collection of Scotch whisky at extremely reasonable prices. Rooms are well appointed and clean. The owner/operators were warm and friendly. We will be back next year!
Bennington Battle Monument
The Bennington Battle Monument marks the site of a storehouse of supplies that the British were planning to seize during the Revolutionary War. The actual battle took place nearby in Walloomsac, New York where the British were overpowered by Seth Warner’s troops and they retreated to Saratoga, New York – setting the stage for the famous Battle of Saratoga.
