Great Little Place!

Delightful, friendly place to stay while in the area. The pub menu has something for everyone ( nacho plate is huge) and the bar has a wonderful collection of Scotch whisky at extremely reasonable prices. Rooms are well appointed and clean. The owner/operators were warm and friendly. We will be back next year!

Weston Playhouse 2017 Season Just Announced.

We love Weston Playhouse.   Just a short, scenic drive from here, you are transported back in time to an old, scenic Vermont village where World class theatre happens.   If you’ve never been there, you really need to go.   Check out www.westonplayhouse.org

The 2017 season was just announced today.

MainStage:

Once (June 27-July 15): A breathtaking musical romance set in Ireland – winner of eight Tony Awards, including Best Musical and Best Song.

Lost in Yonkers (July 20-July 29): Comedy at its very best and a family you won’t soon forget – winner of a Pulitzer and four Tony Awards.

The Music Man (August 3-August 29): Seventy-six Trombones . . . Till There Was You!  The beloved classic musical – winner of a Tony and a Grammy.

Long Day’s Journey Into Night (August 24-September 3): The masterpiece of American theatre, simply not to be missed – winner of a Pulitzer and a Tony.

OtherStages:

Really Rosie (June 22-July 9): A charming musical tale for all ages, written by two American icons you and your family already adore.

Tenderly (July 13-August 5): The exhilarating musical about the life and times of Rosemary Clooney – a star we knew, a woman we didn’t.

Buyer and Cellar (August 10-September 3): Fantastically funny! An underemployed actor takes on the job of lone sales clerk in Barbra Streisand’s basement mall in Malibu.

Cozy and private!

Just a few miles from Manchester town center. It is very easy to drive to and each room has an individual parking space right in front of it. I loved that each room felt like it’s own building. The rooms are spacious and each one is decorated differently. It was clean and we had all the amenities we needed. We had our own sliding door to the back lawn of the property and I’m sure it gets plenty of use in the summer. There really wasn’t much noise and we barely even knew other people were staying at the lodge until we saw them at breakfast. The pub and breakfast area are intimate and decorated with a variety of antiques. The breakfast portions are huge and they were able to make modifications to make our breakfast vegetarian. Would definitely come back and spend more than one night next time!
