Driving Directions
We are located on Historic Route 7A South in Manchester,
Vermont. We are approximately 20 minutes north
of Bennington, Vermont and 5 minutes from the center of Arlington,
Vermont. Before you travel, please print out these
handy driving directions. See you soon!
If you are traveling north on Vermont Route 7 from the Bennington
area, use Arlington/Sunderland exit 3, turn left off the exit and
follow the road until it ends at Route 7A. Turn right
and head north on 7A for 6 miles. We will be on your
left sitting up on the hill, just a half mile past Basketville and
Equinox Mountain Skyline Drive.
If you are traveling south on Vermont Route 7 from towns north of
Manchester, use Manchester exit 4, turning right off of the exit on
to Routes 11 & 30. Follow to the flashing red light,
turn left and head south on Route 7A. Go 4 1/2 miles
(you will pass a dairy farm), and we will be on the right side of
7A.
If you are traveling on Routes 30 or 11 from points east of
Manchester, follow Route 30/11 to the flashing red light in
Manchester, turn left and head south on Route 7A. Go 4
1/2 miles (you will pass a dairy farm), and we will be on the right
side of 7A.

- From Albany, New York:
take NY 7 East toward Troy,
NY. Follow NY7 to Hoosick, NY where NY 7 curves left into VT
279. Follow VT 279 East to VT 7 North (bypasses downtown
Bennington). Follow VT 7 to Exit 3 Arlington/Sunderland.
Turn left off the exit and go to the stop sign (about a mile)
which is the intersection of Routes 313 and 7A. Turn right
on to 7A and travel for 6 miles. The motel will be on the left
side of 7A, up on the hill.
- From Bennington, Vermont (downtown area):
From Bennington take Route 7 to
Exit 3 Arlington-Sunderland. Turn left off the exit
and go to the stop sign (about a mile), which is the
intersection of Routes 313 and 7A. Turn right on to 7A and
travel north for 5.9 miles. The motel will be on the left
side of 7A, up on the hill. For a more scenic route
from Bennington, take 7A North instead of 7. This is
Historic Route 7A and takes you through Bennington, and the
historic districts of Shaftsbury and Arlington, before arriving
in Manchester. Driving time is about the same.
- From Burlington, Vermont:
From Burlington, follow Route 7 South to Manchester Exit
4. Turn right off of the exit on to Route 11/30. Follow
Route 11/30 through the Manchester Center business district
until you come to a flashing red light at the intersection of
Route 11/30 and 7A. Turn left (South) on 7A and
continue for 4 1/2 miles. We will be on the
right side of 7A just as you round a curve 1 mile south of the
Equinox Nursery which is on your left.
- From Boston, Massachusetts:
From Boston, take Highway 2 West to I-91 at Greenfield, Mass.
Go North on I-91 to Brattleboro, Vermont. Take
Brattleboro Exit 2 and follow the signs to Route 30 Manchester.
Continue on Route 30 and turn left when it becomes Route 11/30
near Bromley. Follow Route 11/30 through the
Manchester Center business district until you come to a flashing
red light at the intersection of Route 11/30 and 7A.
Turn left (South) on 7A and continue for 4 1/2 miles.
We will be on the right side of 7A just as you round a curve 1
mile south of the Equinox Nursery which is on your left.
Another option depending on where in the Boston area you are
coming from, is to take the Mass. Turnpike (I-90) from Boston,
and follow it West to I-91 at Springfield. Then
follow I-91 to Brattleboro Exit 2 and follow directions to
Manchester above.
- From Hartford, Connecticut:
Follow I-91 North to Brattleboro, Vermont. Take
Brattleboro Exit 2 follow the signs to Route 30 Manchester.
Continue on Route 30 and turn left when it becomes Route 11/30
near Bromley. Follow Route 11/30 through the
Manchester Center business district until you come to a flashing
red light at the intersection of Route 11/30 and 7A.
Turn left (South) on 7A and continue for 4 1/2 miles.
We will be on the right side of 7A just as you round a curve 1
mile south of the Equinox Nursery which is on your left.
- From New York City (via 87 Thruway):
Follow thruway North to Albany.
Take Exit 23 to 787 North. Take Troy/Bennington Exit on to
NY7. Follow NY7 to Hoosick, NY where NY 7 curves left into
VT 279. Follow VT 279 East to VT 7 North (bypasses
downtown Bennington). Follow VT 7 to Exit 3
Arlington/Sunderland. Turn left off the exit and go
to the stop sign (about a mile) which is the intersection of
Routes 313 and 7A. Turn right on to 7A and travel for 6
miles. The motel will be on the left side of 7A, up on the
hill.
- From Long Island/New York City (via Taconic
Parkway): Follow
Taconic Parkway north until it ends at I-90. Take
I-90 East, then exit at the last exit in New York State and
follow signs to Route 22 North. Go north on Route 22 until
you get to New York Route 7. Turn right and follow NY7
through Hoosick, New York. NY7 will curve left into
Vermont Route 279. Follow VT 279 East to VT 7 North
toward Manchester (don't exit at Bennington - this route
bypasses downtown Bennington). Follow VT 7 to Exit 3
Arlington/Sunderland. Turn left off the exit and go
to the stop sign (about a mile) which is the intersection of
Routes 313 and 7A. Turn right on to 7A and travel for 6
miles. The motel will be on the left side of 7A, up on the hill.
