Breakfast at the North Shire Lodge

Our guests have already found out about our delicious dinners, now they are learning what we can  do with breakfast.   Your stay at the North Shire Lodge includes a bed & breakfast style Vermont Country Breakfast, served to you in our Pub each morning.    Delicious egg dishes, Vermont artisan sausage, fresh fruit, unique variations on french toast, soufflés, and don't forget the pancakes!  A different main course is served each day.  We make several different varieties of pancakes served with Vermont maple syrup, but everyone's favorite is a recipe that is over 200 years old and was the favorite of a famous general from the Revolutionary War who lived not too far from here.  We call them Revolutionary Griddle Cakes, and the special ingredient that makes them so good (and healthy) might surprise you.   They're a winner every time we serve them!

At 7:30, we set up a light continental breakfast with coffee, juice and our homemade maple toasted muesli cereal.   Then from 8:00 to 9:30 we serve our hot breakfast (hours may change seasonally).   Be sure to sign up for the hot breakfast and get your day started right with good food, great mountain views and friendly Vermont hospitality.
